Had a 200Gb disk system up for a couple of weeks filling approx a 1/3 with 100% reliable performance reading and writting the data.

I took the box down to relocate and on reboot it reports

0-order allocation table failed
VM: killing process e2fck
Killed

repeated twice

before getting login propmt.

Any ideas ?

How much RAM?

Larger drives require more memory. The e2fck process is most likely failing due to not enough RAM. NASLite does not use swap, so as a result, the more drive space one makes available, the more RAM the system will require to manage that.

Another thing, your drive is probably fine, but NASLite will not mount it since the filesystem can't be varified. Adding more RAM should fix the problem.

I'd say 64M should do the job. I have a P150/64M/160Gx2 that has been doing it's thing for over 8 months without a problem.

Let me know how it goes.

Didnt have any small amounts in my scrap bin but a 128 that was intermittently faulty on a higher spec machine. It seems ok at a lower speed.

The nas is now back online for the past few hours
