NASLite Network Attached Storage

I have a question that I hope someone might know the answer to. I am using NASLite SMB and I am trying to access it using iTunes. I have read a few articles about installing a multicast DNS advertiser. The problem is that since I am using NASLite I can not install anything.

Does anyone know of a way that I can make my music collection appear in iTunes?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jim,

Currently you cannot install a "multicast DNS advertiser" or rendezvous, however we do have plans for some Mac centric software which will work closely with iTunes.

Right now, you can mount your NASLite box on your mac, and in iTunes preferences, make your NASLite box your music share location.

I guess that I should have put it in my first post, but I am using iTunes running on Ubuntu. The only way so far that I have been able to "see" my NASLite box is to first mount it and then change my preferences in iTunes to look there for the files.
