Would it be possible to create a version of NASLite that could read in CD-ROM images from a CD-ROM drive and store it on one a dedicated imagedisk in the disk array.

I know I can store the images myself, but it would be nice to slide in a CD-ROM and choose copy image to disk from the Telnet or Browser interface of NASLite.

All in all, NASLite is one of this worlds 7 wonders! THANKS.

I for one would LOVE this feature. I have lots of cd full of reference material I use in my business and this would save a lot of time and trouble.

Hy,

why dont use a Software wich
- creates the image
- store it on naslite
- automate share (for wich OS)

I myself use so for VMWae Images. Works fine.

Hello Wonderer

That's what I'm already doing.
- I create images with Nero Burning Rom
- I store on a networkdrive
- I load a volume using Nero ImageDrive
But....
I can only load one volume at the same time.
I'll have to install Nero ImageDrive on every PC that needs to get access to the stored volumes.
I have to do it all manually!

I keep an archive with more than 200 different CD-rom titles that I'm distributing, and an unnumbered amount of reference material stored on CD-rom, that I have to access from time to time.

I was just thinking of an easyer solution. I will definetly store the images on the NASLite.

I tried to look up the software you suggested, but did'nt find anything on Google! Could you please provide a webaddress?

Cheers

I think I have found a suitable solution to viewing multible ISO images of both CD and DVD.

Check this address http://www.softaward.com/688.html where you'll also find other usefull tools at an affordable price.

http://www.daemon-tools.cc

Allows you to mount (or even automount) up to four .ISO images on your windows machine.

Map the networked NASLite drive to your computer (set to reconnect at startup)

Select up to four images to be mounted.

I started using this program years ago, when I used Printmaster with 4 CD's, and got sick and tired of swapping discs all the time because I only had one optical drive.
