I've just taken a quick read of the SMB version manual.

If I have 4 x 300GB disks what does the Windows computers see - 4 x 300GB disks or 1 x 1.2TB disk?

I really would like a set-up that shows the drives as one big drive.

It'll show the HDDs as individual disks.

What you are asking for is something like a RAID arrangement, which NasLite doesn't support.
